Research

The Tavares team’s research focuses on the discovery, development, and translation of new molecular imaging biomarkers for disease diagnosis and  prognosis, as well as for application in treatment efficacy studies. The team’s research portfolio includes several radiotracer development projects at different stages of the discovery pipeline. Furthermore, the team actively develops innovative image analysis solutions for quantification of whole-body molecular imaging studies, including kinetic modelling and network analysis. Beyond academic research projects, members of the team also have hybrid role responsibilities, supporting imaging service provision at the Preclinical PET Facility.
